After a successful first year of partnership, Cambridge United and virtual mental
health specialists, Mynurva, have committed to continue supporting Season Ticket
Holders in 2024/25…
Last season saw a first of its kind partnership within the football world as all Season
Ticket Holders aged 18+ were given free access to Mynurva’s online mental health
service, which provides 1:1 video therapy.
After seeing the difference that the service made to a number of the Club’s
supporters over the course of the season, the decision to continue working together
in 2024/25 was a simple one for both the Club and Mynurva.
CEO Alex Tunbridge said, “We are really proud to be in partnership with Mynurva –we fully believe in the service that they offer and we have already seen some really positive case studies following our first year of working together.”
Mynurva provides access to a UK qualified therapist with no wait times. Accessible from anywhere, users simply book an appointment online at a time and date that suits them.
This week is Loneliness Awareness Week (10-16 June), which is all about encouraging moments of connection. Cambridge United fans support the club throughout the year, and through its approach to mental health, Cambridge United hopes to encourage more positive conversations about mental health, connecting its fans to the support they need through the Mynurva partnership.
“Mental Health has been a big priority at Cambridge United for a number of years now and we have taken many steps to ensure that our staff, players and fans haveaccess to support should they need it,” Alex Tunbridge added.“Our partnership with Mynurva is the next step for us and they have been brilliant to work with.”
Dr Zain SIkafi, CEO and Co-founder of Mynurva added, “We are delighted to be working with Cambridge United for a second year. Mynurva believes everyone should have access to the right mental health support they need, when they need it, and we are proud to do just that for Cambridge Unitied’s Season Ticket Holders.”
2024/25 Season Ticket Holders aged 18+ will be contacted over the coming weeks
by Mynurva, detailing how they can take advantage of the service should they wish
to.
